Can-Am Defender Clutch Kits

Clutch kits for the Can-Am Defender, covering the HD7, HD8, HD9, HD10 and HD11. A kit changes the weights, spring and helix to suit how the machine is actually used, whether that is work, mud, bigger tires or a plow up front. Check your model and year on the product page before ordering. If you are weighing a kit against a full clutch system, our clutch help center covers the difference.

Frequently Asked Questions:

The HD11 kit comes in two versions. Which one do I need?

It goes by tire size. One is listed for 29 to 32 inch tires and the other for 33 to 34 inch. Measure what is actually on the machine rather than what it came with, since tires are usually the first thing people change.

Why are the HD10 kits not split by tire size?

Those are split by year instead, one for 2016-2019 and one for 2020-2026. So for an HD10 the question is which year, and for an HD11 it's which tire size. Make sure you know which of the two you're looking at before it goes in the cart.

Is there a kit here for the HD7, HD8 or HD9?

Not on this page. The kits listed here are for the HD10 and the HD11. If you have one of the smaller motors, ask us what is available for it rather than ordering an HD10 kit and hoping.

Can I put an HD11 kit in an HD10?

Don't assume it will go. The HD11 is a new machine for 2026 and its parts sit on their own listings for that reason. Where a part does cover both, the product page says so.
