You put a fresh belt in your RZR Turbo, it pulls hard, and then up near top speed it starts to slip. Or you pull the cover and see the belt has been rubbing the cover under the primary. Before you blame the belt, look at how far it travels into the primary clutch.
What is belt over travel?
At high speed the primary closes up and the belt climbs toward the outside of the sheaves. On these machines the belt can travel too far, so it slips near top speed and can hit the cover under the primary. That is what the factory setup does, and it is a clutching problem, not a belt defect.
What does the washer do?
The 2020-2026 Polaris RZR Turbo Primary Washer is a precision ground washer. According to the product details, it fixes the primary belt over travel issue, stops the belt slipping at or near top speed, and stops the belt from hitting the cover under the primary. It is $24.
Will it fit my machine?
Fitment is 2020-2026 Polaris RZR Turbo, Turbo S and Pro. It also works on the 2020 Pro. Read this one carefully: it does not work on 2018-2020 regular Turbo models. Those machines have a different primary.
Washer or clutch kit?
The washer corrects one problem. The listing says a Dalton kit is still recommended on these vehicles because of bad clutching from the factory. If you are buying a kit anyway, the washer can be added from the kit page for this vehicle and saves $5. See the Dalton Clutch Kit for the 2021-2026 Polaris RZR Turbo/Pro.
Install help
There is an explanation and install video linked on the product page. Watch it before you take the primary apart, and use a proper clutch holder rather than an impact gun. Keep the clutches clean so the belt gets a fair chance to seat when you put it back together.
