Hunterworks CVT drive belt for Polaris RZR XP 1000 2024-2026

Best Drive Belt for Polaris RZR XP 1000 (2024-2026): Hunterworks vs OEM vs Aftermarket

The best drive belt for a 2024-2026 Polaris RZR XP 1000, XP4 or XPS (2 and 4 seat, all models) is the Hunterworks 2024-2026 Polaris RZR XP 1000/XP4/XPS Belt, part number HW-925TC. It replaces Polaris OEM part numbers 3211186 and 3212358, it is made in the USA, and it sells for $164. Most owners pick it for the way it hooks up: better grip, less jerky starts and less secondary squeal than the stock belt. It does not fit machines running a DuraClutch kit, and it does not fit 2014-2023 RZR XP 1000s.

Which belt fits my 2024-2026 RZR XP 1000?

Polaris changed the belt on the newer XP 1000, so the year matters. This is the fitment straight from the product listing:

Make Model Years Replaces OEM #
Polaris RZR XP 1000 / XP4 / XPS (2 & 4 seat, all models) 2024-2026 3211186, 3212358

The Hunterworks part number is HW-925TC. Two things it will not do: it does not fit a machine running a DuraClutch kit, and it does not fit the 2014-2023 RZR XP 1000, which uses a different belt. If you own one of those older machines, see our 2014-2023 RZR XP 1000 belt comparison.

How does the Hunterworks belt compare to OEM and aftermarket belts?

We only put facts in this table that we can state for certain. Where a number is not published for this specific machine, it says "not stated" rather than a guess.

What is different about the Hunterworks belt?

Todd, the owner, designs every Hunterworks product, and the belt is no exception. It is built with a proprietary construction that is engineered for toughness and strength, and it is made here in the USA.

What does that change on the machine? The goal is grip. A belt that holds the clutch faces cleanly engages without slack, so the machine pulls away without that lazy moment between throttle and drive. Owners describe the same thing: it grabs and goes.

The second goal is a smoother takeoff. A belt that bites progressively is less likely to jerk when you roll into the throttle, and less likely to squeal on the secondary under load. That is what the design is aimed at, and it is the reason people swap off the stock belt.

Break-in matters just as much as the belt. Keep it at half throttle or less for the first 30 miles and let it go through a couple of heat and cool cycles so it seats in the clutch faces. It fully limbers up over the first 100 to 200 miles, then ride it normally.

One more option: the belt is offered as the belt alone, or with a belt change tool added for $4. If you have never spread a secondary on this machine, the tool is cheap insurance. You can see both choices on the RZR XP 1000 belt page.

What do RZR XP 1000 owners say about it?

Verified buyers on the product page rate it 5.0 out of 5 across 10 reviews. A few of them:

  • "So far better than the OEM belts." (Matt L.)
  • "In the process of breaking it in.. but so far it grabs and go.. doesn't have that slack." (Jose T.)
  • "Very well made and performs well." (Buddy G.)

How do I change the belt on a RZR XP 1000?

This is the short version. Follow the service manual for torque specs and details on your machine.

  1. Remove the clutch cover.
  2. Open the secondary clutch sheaves. A belt change tool makes this much easier.
  3. Walk the old belt off the clutches.
  4. Install the new belt with the part number facing out.
  5. Reinstall the clutch cover.
  6. Follow the break-in above before you work it hard.
